The Future Forward Blues Lineup

Chelsea has had much success with a 4-3-3 formation in recent years. Two seasons ago, we cored over 100 league goals. Our forward lineup that I can remember was Drogba, Anelka, and Kalou. I remember Kalou being a sub and cannot remember who he came on for. Still, these three scored many goals. But we have shown difficulty finishing recently. Let’s face it: Drogba and Anelka aren’t getting any younger, and Kalou doesn’t look like he wants to be there. What beholds the future of our front line?

Sturridge. He proved himself well while on loan at Bolton. I would play him as striker.

Kulaku. He is talented, menacing, and young. With the proper accommodation to the EPL, he will do extremely well.

Torres. Though not yet in top form, he is young enough to afford time to recover and excel.

I can’t wait for Sturridge to play now that his suspension is over. I want to see Torres play 90 minutes as he needs to be given time to get his mojo back. Kulaku needs time to acclamate, but there is no rush. He could be a strong sub throughout this season.

What do you think about this possible triumverate?

Not Modric but Mata

Our midfield is in need of improvement. Just one day after our nail biter of a win against West Brom, the Blues have obtained an agreement with Valencia for Mata. Who will be benched as a result? Mikel? Lampard? Ramires? I could be wrong, but I believe Mata is a winger. Maybe that makes Mikel safe. Or maybe it means that he will take a wing position, Lampard will take the center, and Mikel will take a seat. What do you think? Will Modric still come in?
