Comments:

Last season, we won the Treble. Amazing. This season, not so much. We came in second, which seemed a miracle due to our poor performance under Benitez through December 2010. Okay, okay, so we won the FIFA World Cup in 2010 under his tutelage. But it was under his management that we were down at 7th place at one point. In came Leonardo, AC Milan’s former manager, and things turned around, resulting in a strong 2nd place finish in the race for the Scudetto. Not bad. Champions League was just as horrible under Benitez for Inter as it was in Serie A, and it didn’t fare any better under Leonardo. We finished above 0.500 and scored 106 goals in all competitions. Most notably, 3 years running Inter has been leading league scorer in Serie A. Eto’o has been the leading scorer for Inter in all competitions with 35 goals. He also received the Golden Ball award due to his involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup, in which he earned 1 goal and 3 assists.
