Real Madrid 1-1 Barcelona

Game stats provided by Live Soccer TV.

Today marks the first of four El Classicos that will take place in 17 days. Today’s El Classico is for La Liga. Up and coming El Classicos are for Champions Leage (2) and for the Copa Del Rey. And today’s was as entertaining as one would expect. Albiol did get a straight red early in the second half, so Los Blancos did play with but 10 men for a significant portion of the match. Messi would score a PK as a result of the his foul. Towards the end of the game, Ronaldo scored an equalizer, so Real Madrid managed to draw despite being down a man.

Will the next El Classico be as good? I think it will be better.

Inter 0-2 Parma

Disappointing and disgusting. Inter lost 2-nil to Parma. Derby. Champions League. All is lost. And AC Milan advanced three points. Dire. Any hopes of getting atop the Serie A table are now dashed.

Chelsea 3-1 West Brom

Chelsea started slow, allowing a single goal, trailing early. But before the half was over, Drogba, Kalou, and Lampard all put the ball in the back of the net, so that the Blues held the lead 3-1. The score remained unchanged to full time. A win is a win. At least it helps us as far as maintaining a position for next year’s Champions League.
