Psalm 119:33-40

All of these verses start with he (ה).

Teach me, Oh Lord, the way of your statutes so that I may observe it until the end.

Make me understand so that I may observe your law and keep it with all my heart.

Make me walk in the pathway of your commandments
for I delight in it.

Guide my heart to your laws and not to unlawful gain.

Make my eyes to turn away from seeing emptiness
make me live in your ways.

Entrust your word to your servant
which is for your revering.

Put away my shame that I dread
for your judgments are good.

Behold, I long for your precepts
make me live in your righteousness.

Psalm 119:25-32

All of these verses begin with the letter dalet (ד).

My soul has clung to dust
Bring me back to life according to your word.

I recounted my ways and you answered me
Teach me your statutes.

Make me understand the way of your precepts
In order that I may meditate on your wondrous deeds.

My soul has wept from grief
Strengthen me according to your word.

Remove from me the way of falsehood
And show favor on me with your teaching.

I have chosen the way of faithfulness
I have set my mind on your judgments.

I have clung to your laws
Lord, do not let me be put to shame.

I run in the way of your commandments
For you make my heart wide.
